Hey, There's a New CVE Program Consumer Working Group?? We're thrilled to announce the formation of the Consumer Working Group (CWG) — and invite you to help shape it! This working group will bring together all types of CVE data consumers – from vulnerability analysts and defenders to automation engineers and tool developers — to provide real-world input into how CVE data is used, what’s working, and where improvements are needed. The goal? To ensure the CVE Program continues to evolve in ways that meet the needs of those who rely on CVE Records every day: ? Surface pain points and strengths in current CVE data ? Capture real-world use cases from diverse organizations ? Inform how CVE Record content and structure can improve Whether you integrate CVEs into your tooling, prioritize them in your vulnerability management workflows, or assess risk and exposure across systems — your experience matters. This working group is still forming, and we want to hear from interested participants now. Exciting news from the CVE Program! CERT@VDE is now a Root in the CVE Program, strengthening global coordination across the cybersecurity ecosystem and especially in the ICS/OT domain. As the CVE Program grows to meet the needs of a rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape, expanding our partnerships is key. CERT@VDE has been a CNA since April 2020. Now, as a Root, CERT@VDE is responsible for ensuring the effective assignment of CVE IDs, implementing the CVE Program rules and guidelines, and managing other CVE Numbering Authorities (CNAs) in its purview. It is also responsible for recruitment and onboarding of new CNAs and resolving disputes within its scope. CERT@VDE joins CISA ICS as Roots under the CISA Top-Level Root, alongside Google, JPCERT/CC, Red Hat, INCIBE, and Thales Group under the MITRE Top-Level Root.
